At St. Christopher School, we believe that a strong community is the heart of a great education. Our House System is designed to create a vibrant, safe, and inclusive environment where every student feels they belong. By bringing together students, staff, and parents, we bridge the gap between grade levels and classrooms to build lasting friendships. We aim to empower our students to take risks and grow in character, all while providing a dedicated support system for their social and emotional well-being.
🏆 House Competition Days
At St. Christopher, our House System comes to life during our quarterly House Competition Days! Four times a year, our school transforms into a sea of color as students compete, collaborate, and build community.
The House Uniform
To show their spirit, students wear a solid-colored T-shirt representing their House, paired with standard uniform pants (or shorts, weather permitting).
-
Hassle-Free for Parents: To keep things simple, House shirts are kept and professionally laundered right here at school. They’ll be ready and waiting for your student on every competition day!
-
The Grand Finale: On our final House Day of the year, students celebrate by signing each other’s shirts—a wonderful keepsake to bring home and cherish.
Getting Your Gear
Information regarding T-shirt orders and spirit fees will be distributed at the beginning of the school year. Keep an eye out for those forms to ensure your student is ready for the first big day!
🕊️ Student Leadership: House Prefects
At St. Christopher, we empower our students to lead with integrity and heart. Each year, eight students are selected to serve in the prestigious role of House Prefect.
Each of our four Houses—Anthony, Aquinas, Arc, and Assisi—is guided by a dedicated leadership team:
-
One 5th Grade Prefect
-
One 6th Grade Prefect
These student leaders serve as role models, organizing House activities and inspiring their peers to live out our school values every day.
🤝 Faith in Action: Days of Service
At St. Christopher School, we believe in leading through service. Twice a year, our entire student body steps away from the classroom to put their values into practice through our Days of Service. These days allow our students to experience the joy of giving back while strengthening our bonds with the local community.
Our Impact in the Community
Our students have a long history of making a difference. Some of our favorite past projects include:
-
Spreading Cheer: Singing Christmas carols at local retirement homes and creating Easter crafts for our parish families.
-
Supporting Health & Wellness: Crafting handmade cards and bracelets for patients at Riley Hospital for Children.
-
Combatting Hunger: Organizing local food pantries to support neighbors in need.
-
Environmental Stewardship: Beautifying our own campus and clearing hiking trails at nearby parks to preserve our natural spaces.
Whether it’s raking leaves or brightening a stranger's day, our students learn that no act of kindness is too small to make a big difference.
